The AIS now handles much of its business that comes up between meetings by
e-mail. There was a vote on this at, I think, the 2003 spring meeting.
And because AIS is a non-profit, incorporated in PA, there are specific criteria in our policy as to time frames, process, number of participants etc. I think most non-profits have to hold their meetings in a public forum and that causes some problems in conducting business between meetings and electronically.
