CULT: HIST: question - weather cycles?

If we are moving into weather patterns comparable to those of the 1930s
thru the 1950s, what does that mean for our winters and spring freezes
in the vale??

Was that when so many Tennessee hybridizers were producing award winning
irises?

In the 50s, I remember all the hurricanes, and that it snowed fairly
often (especially compared to recent years), but I wasn't around for the
30s and early 40s, and wasn't gardening in the 50s.

Anybody know a good website for regional weather cycles and effects on
gardening?
