Re: TB: Frank Adams (was Jennifer Reb)

I will say this in my experience. I originally grew Frank Adams in Indiana, Zone 5 and it always did well. Always had nice foliage. It had nice tall and strong stalks with nice branching and has always bloomed. It is vigorous as well. I think it has better foliage than Immortality as I grow it also. It does not go dormant in the Summer and is generally larger in stature. It is more green than blue-green while Immortality is blue-green. It has behaved quite the same here in Raleigh NC, Zone 7. The standards on Frank Adams are quite a bit more gold-tan than cream also.

Speaking of showy old variegatas, Paul, others, what kind of performer
has FRANK ADAMS been for you?

Is it as healthy as some of Lloyd Zurbrigg's tough guys (IMMORTALITY,
HARVEST OF MEMORIES)? Even in heavy rain and hot weather?

SHANNOPIN has been the toughest of the old cream and red variegatas that
I've tried, but I can't remember ever trying FRANK ADAMS.
