CULT: rebloomers

Just returned from our combined Region 3 and Region 4 fall regional meeting.
We had a really satisfying show, with probably more than 30 nice stalks  --  a
pleasant surprise, since the date is a bit early for a show in these climes.
A productive plant auction and a silent auction of many of our late friend
Rosalie Figge's iris-themed items.

Ginny Spoon gave generalized judges training with slides, and George Sutton
provided both garden judges training and a power-point presentation of the
future of rebloomers as represented by the Sutton gardens.  It was marvelous
to see the reblooming seedlings that he and Mike are producing.  I'm sure
there are many future medal winners among them, and the presentation made it
abundantly evident that rebloomers have come into their own as far as form is
concerned.  This presentation is well worth seeing, and George loves to do it.
