Thomas; please note that the Iris astrachanica plant
that was used in these crosses was not the true
species but what had been circulated under that name.
The mystery plant looks very much like some blue and
white form of Iris variegata and may actually be a
hybrid that got mixed in Bee Warburton's garden or in
St Petersburg.
