Hi Steve,
I am located in Wisconsin, technically in zone 4 but very near the border with zone 5. I have had nice rebloom some years on an intermediate called Precious Little Pink, which I obtained from Schrieners'. This is definitely not a sure thing every year, but when it does, wow! In a recent season I had 3 bloom periods on it, the last one all the way into late Oct./early Nov. The following season, it did bloom as usual in the spring, but no rebloom that year. Personally, I love the color--what I would call a dusty pink self. I'd imagine it could be viewed in the Schrieners' online catalog if you are interested in seeing it. Again, some years it reblooms and some not at my location, but for me it has been about the best of the few rebloomers I've had.
Good luck,
Carole

Hello everyone.
I am located in zone 4b according to the maps I've seen, right along the west edge of Lake Superior in Minnesota.
I am wondering about reblooming irises that I might try in my area.
Zone 5 and further south have reblooms annually.
I don't think the temperature conditions are too cold to get a rebloomer or two here.
I have Violet Miracle growing nicely, but haven't gotten a rebloom on it in three years I've grown it.
I haven't seen anything throw stalks up near the season end or just before winter freeze that would indicate rebloom if they had more season to grow either.
I've only been growing a variety of irises for about 3 years now and have gotten more into hybridizing the last two seasons. I think it would be fun to develop some more rebloomers so I can have a little more color in the iris bed a little longer each year.
The trouble is, I haven't found anything, as of yet, that will rebloom in my iris bed to work with.
Any suggestions for rebloomers to look through in catalogs, etc, that may rebloom in my area? I don't have any particular color choices, I enjoy most of the varieties I've seen.
thanks,
steve m. zone 4b northeastern minnesota
