Maybe you can open a spot, just big enough to build a bond fire, to protect
the irises from any late freeze? What's a nights sleep or two? <vbg>
I'm finding one unexpected side effect to being a breeder of rebloom!
Suddenly, I'm seeing ghost iris stalks! I rush over to investigate only to have
them disappear into the foliage! I thought for sure I'd see some bloom on the
2005/2006 crop, even though many were lost to the freeze. They were given a
little extra water since the soaker hoses were already in place. One fan on
a Hello Darkness X Tara's Choice has teased me for weeks. The fan has "that
look." Guess it's just wishful thinking.
So can we talk about seedling fans? I have some gorgeous fans that touch
the ground on both sides! Clean and pretty! <vbg>
