My dear Betty, you must feel like a sponge, sucking in every bit of moisture in the air! 
But aren't 5 inches of rain in such a short time a disaster?
Top soils resists the flood?

Hope the cure is not worse than the remedy!

I've been through all your intros, building their trees with pictures, looks all neat and great, but i cannot find any picture of the following irises anywhere on internet. If you could post them on the photos-forum, i'm sure many like me would be delighted to see them!

Since about 8 AM Monday morning I have received over 5 inches of rain. The 
creek still has about 2 feet before it reaches the top of the  low water
bridge. Visible flow of water under the bridge had stopped. Lowest I'd seen it 
since I moved out here.  All that water  today almost looked ominous.




I'll have iris bloom if the first freeze hold off until  Christmas!
