Hi,
A couple of years ago I had a pile of dirt brought in and as with any
gardener I ran out of time. I planted a couple of Iris near the bottom of
the pile. The next year I moved them. The roots had gone into the dirt
pile over 4 feet.
Thanks,
Char

I am curious. Do roots really go down two feet? I have shallow thick
roots
that go horizontally 18 inches, but have never seen deep roots. Do deep
roots comes with deep watering or with a specific type of soil?
