I think the trick is that some people don't subscribe to both lists.  So, if you just want to pick the most brains then posting on both lists might yield more answers.

Having said that, I think the chat on the photos list is "technically" supposed to be restricted to things related to specific photos or series of photos.  On rare occasion John has been known to gently nudge  particularly long winded discussions back to the iris-chat list.

OK, Sorry if this has been coved in the past, I didn't see it in the archives.

It is appropriate and/or necessary to cross post questions and comments to iris-photos and the iris lists?  I know some of you do, but I assume many people subscribe to both.  Is that accurate?  Is it Ok to post non-photo related questions and comments to iris-photos?
