Tangerine X Tangerine should all be tangerine. But because genes are there it doesn't mean trait has to show up. But a puzzle re lemon yellow beard. I sent a query to Barry. Let you know what he says. Chuck? I'm looking at ENCHANTED WAY (Blyth 2011). Pedigree is (PUFF THE MAGIC X (SALADANCER x PUFF THE MAGIC). Beard is "bright lemon". SALADANCER beard is "bright tangerine orange "; PUFF beard is "muted tangerine". Can two tangerine parents give a non-tangerine beard? Or is one or both of these most likely orange beards that look tangerine but aren't really tangerine factor (i.e., no lycopene)?
