Violet Music is very reliable here. Had bloom on it about three weeks ago, and a clump about to bloom with 4 out of 6 rhizomes in clump about to open, for second go round. Some years it reblooms just before frost, but earlier then many other TB fall cyclic rebloomers here. Most usually first bloom is around this time of year.
I do recall , during one of the discussions, someone mentioning that they got consistent rebloom on Victoria Falls. Don't remember who or where they were. But like all of the FC iris, when crossed to Forever Blue, will take the plant characteristics of heavy secondary rebloom characteristics and advance timing of fall cyclic rebloom in seedlings. Sometimes getting over 50% reblooming seedlings.
I'm looking at rebloom as being a plant behaviour. A combination of their genes plus environmental conditions. Genes determine type, growing conditions provide opportunity for genes to express, or not express.
Some plants that do not have rebloom genes will misfire on occasion. They should not be considered rebloomers as they just don't have rebloom genes of any type.

summer long rebloomer like offspring Oxmoor Hills.  Maybe summers are
too hot for VM to bloom earlier here.

I'm surprised to hear you say that about Victoria Falls.  I'd always
heard that it was sporadic everywhere.

The Rebloom Checklist says "reblooms, but not reliable in any part of
the country".  Which is probably where I got the idea that it doesn't
rebloom consistently anywhere.

Please share any consistent rebloom geographic info for VF with Robin
Shadlow, so she can alter that statement.  thanks.
