I helped robin for one year.  At that time the list was cumulate.  She is
very good with records although overworked.

I'm not sure when the first cumulative checklist was compiled.  Jim Ennenga
gave me his old RIS rebloom checklist compilations, and I did go through and
double check to make sure everything in the older lists was included in the
current checklist.

We used the 1998 checklist to help generate the 2008 version. 
Fortunately, there was an electronic copy of the database used to generate
the 1998 book still on an old computer stored in a basement or attic.  We
double checked to make sure my extraction of that info matched the printed
1998.  So the 2008 and subsequent versions <should> include all reports back
to the stone age.

Unfortunately, we don't have sources for all the reports, either in the
1998 or the 2008 versions.  Some in the earlier reports probably came by
word of mouth, most probably from the RIS Recorder, published catalogs, and
maybe mail robins.  The 2008 also included internet reports.  I also
solicited information on sporadic rebloomers by email from Schreiners and
other breeders.

I haven't been involved since the 2008 version - I think Robin Shadlow is
keeping up with new reports.

One problem that will continue is that the USDA map used to collect
information on Zones has changed twice (?) since the original publication.
Presumably will continue to change.
