Earlier this week I noticed a bearded iris in bud, in front of my local post
office. The bud was a dark, rusty red. This is the only reblooming iris I
have noticed in my local area, other than the ones in my own garden. I was
so intrigued by this find that I drove through the post office on my way
home from work today, just to see if this flower had opened. It had, but I
didn't take the time to get a really close look (such as the beard
color,etc.). Are red reblooming bearded iris uncommon enough to reasonably
narrow down the possibilities for the identity of this iris? If yes, then
can anyone name a few of the choices for the identity of this unknown, red
rebloomer?
