<< recent US Japanese Iris introduction, white with
rosy-violet margins, the name of which includes either "Ruffled" or
 "Ruffles?" >>

Bill, From the SJI Checklist:
The only "recent" one:
RUFFLED DIMITY (Reid 1984) 6F White with blue veins.

Older ones not know to exist today: (so, let me know if you have one !)
RUFFLED BROCADE (Marx 1953) 6F pastel shades of lavender and blue-violet.
RUFFLED HYACINTH (Swearengen 1966) 6F blue-violet with few white rays.
RUFFLED LILAC (Marx 1964) 6F Dark lavener self.
RUFFLED SWAN (Payne 1969) 9F pure white.

Will take some time to look up JI with "ruffle..." in the second word of the
name, like Azure Ruffles (Marx 62) 6F blue. or PRAIRIE RUFFLES (Hazzard 69)
6F white with blue veins.!
Your iris sounds like Frilled Enchantment......does your piece of name tag
say "..rilled.."? Though a Marx 1959, it IS a modern form JI.
