few questions, SPU

Our paper has a story about a gas pumping station in Australia not working due to a major problem and many persons without gas-natural-for many days--what a horrible thought!  Any of the Oz talkers effected by this?

Anyone have any luck with Spuria Seeds?  when i went to cut stalks--there were great big seed pods full of seeds!!!On 5 of 7 Spurias--will it do me any good to plant them and hope for little-different ones?  I remember reading that they can be self-polinating, which means that all babies would be like parents?  Is that what i will get from the pods? When do I plant? With bearded I put seeds in freezer for the winter--usually out in the unheated garden shed--and plant in Spring--do the same with Spurias?  Any info twould be appreciated.  Thanks  Carryl in WesternMontana--off to Region 13 Meeting this weekend--in Spokane and a Judges training session by Roy Epperson on the changes in the Judging book and update on awards
