Cult-rain

Hi everyone, you should be hearing shortly about the "rain falling gently on the plains" from several of us !!! My rain gauge showed 5'' this afternoon, that makes about 10'' since last Sunday. Water was running across a blacktop road that NO ONE can remember as having ever happened before. Although my garden drains ok and was not under water for any length of time, is there anything else I can do to help the iris contend with all this moisture ?
