More Blooming down under!!

From: Paul & Yvonne Tyerman <tyerman@dynamite.com.au>

Howdy All,
Thought I'd give a bllom report for my neck of the woods down here in
Australia. Have had extremely hot weather for this time of year for the
last week or so. We really are not used to having temperatures in the high
20s ('C) until November here. It's brought lots of flwoers and everything
out in the garden.

	So.... here goes.

At my garden which I rent for my irises I have heaps of dwarves out. I'm
not going to bore you with the whole list, but a couple of the rather nice
ones are IMBUE, CIMMARON ROSE, TOFF and MOOCHA. SASS WITH CLASS has
finished for the year which is a shame as I really like it. There I also
have TBs HELL'S FIRE, CLOUDS ADRIFT, MALAYSIA and SNEAK PREVIEW (just
starting to open). At my sister's back yard I have a couple of medians in
flower such as ZING ME and TYROLIENNE (sp? This is absolutely stunning. A
lovely blend of colours and smells heavenly) and the Arilbreds are in good
bud this year. Hopefully within a couple of days EPICENTER (TB) will be in
flower too and I'm awaiting COURT MARSHALL.

Here at home I have almost no irises (When I moved in hear when I got
married I swore that I'd not turn this garden into an Iris Nursery). We
have a cottage garden set around winding paths on a VERY small corner
block. I have a small bed of around a dozen PCNs which are just starting
to put on a show. My Japanese Irises are all a foot high and I've still
only managed to repot half of them. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I WILL SERIOUSLY
HARM THEM IF I REPOT THEM NOW WHILE THEY ARE IN LEAF AND BEFORE FLOWERING?
I REALLY NEED TO DO IT BUT DON'T WANT TO HURT THEM.

We have WAllflowers giving us splashes of colour throughout the garden and
three clumps of dutch iris APOLLO. The pink Wisteria is in flower where
we've standardised it on a rose wheel. In one place we have a clump of I.
pseudacorus "Variegata" flanked by a clump of I. Gerald Darby. As they've
both fairly recently shot we have the lovely striped foliage showing
against the dark purple foliage. Makes a lovely little statement. Lots of
other stuff flowering but it isn't irisey so I'd better not put it up here.
If anyone wants a "tour" of my garden feel free to contact me.

All the best peoples. Good to hear that some of the States has had some
rain. Our Summer was the same so I know EXACTLY what you are going through
(we had 6 months (NOV to MAY) without rain).

Cheers.
