Hi Talkers,

I hope I am not starting a controversy but Roger Nelson's catalog
classed Rhages as an MTB. In the '39 Checklist, it is classed as a TB. I
believe the most accurate classification of Rhages is actually BB since
it's flowers are too large for the MTB class and stalks too short for
the TB class. This unofficial reclassification information is per Jean
Witt. I grew Rhages for a number of years (nothin' else like it folks,
ya otta grow it if you don't already) and tend to agree with Jean's
observations.

In the '29, '39 and '49 checklists, our present classification system
did not exist so many things classed back then no longer fit into our
classifications today. This causes a great deal of guessing on our part
today.....but what fun!!!
