We are in the midst of (CA) Thanksgiving and have had several mild
frosts in the outlying area. The garden is being cleaned up and the
leaves cut back when this 15 inch spike pops out to say 'Hello'.
Unfortunately, a hard frost will come the next time we have a clear sky
at night.
We have replanted many of the bearded iris this summer in the view of
getting better rebloom, but the results were not expected until next
year. With results like this, Immortality would have given us three
cycles if we had moved it as well.
Back to the clean-up.
