Let me preface this with disclaimers......
I love this cultivar, I do not know if it rots
for anyone else---just my experience after
growing it for  8 years.  Maybe it is just me, or
something in the soil. No hybridizer bashing
from me,  I like and have good luck with most of
Meek's intros. It is one of the most oohed and 
aahed plants when people visit my garden.

Stds orchid veined darker,deep grape falls edged orchid,yellow-orange beard.

It just happens to be one of those loud,brassy iris with a lot
of carrying power. It is  one of the few that hardly ever reaches its'  registered
height for me, so it is planted in the front row.  It is about the only rotter 
that I will fool around with growing, and with a little luck some of  "her"
children will be blooming in the spring.  Given her namesake,  you may wonder 
if her offspring are some of the i.confusa from yesterday's thread, but I know 
the papa.......
