Witches Sabbath has particularly dark foliage, and strong, thick leaves
here. I find it's foliage very attractive.
Re growing iris for foliage, I remember a gardening article in an
Australian newspaper, last spring, about the excitement the writer
experienced when the irises he had planted for landscaping purposes
provided him with an added bonus - red flowers. The iris was Lady
friend. So people do plant irises just for their foliage.
