Paul,
Both Variegata and Argentea have typical species pallida stalks, branching,
and flowers, including the flower color, which is a light violet. Variegata
is a much stronger growing plant, and that includes taller stalks and
larger flowers. I have seen Argentea listed as a median, whereas Variegata
definitely meets TB standards (it blooms here at heights between 31 and 36
inches).
