Dear Linda: No, I am always happy to hear that one of my iris has done well.
You may well be surprised and pleased along with me, to know that
IMMORTALITY and CLARENCE were #1 and #2 in the Symposium for Region 4. But
I do not know why something like HARVEST OF MEMORIES did not also become
popular. It was Queen of our Region 4 Fall Show last week in Charlotte. It
was a dramatic stalk, double the size and height of other entries, and it
has won this award before. Phyllis Soine brought it. Right now I have a
very, very nice blue amoena IB in bloom. It is in a very tight clump so the
bud count is low, but this is the third stalk and another is showing color.
It may be from the Space-Age breeding lines, but I lost the information on
it. I BLESS has been blooming since early September, - - but nothing is
reblooming in the back garden which is in full sun all the time. Can you ar
anyone tell me what to do to get a good showing of rebloom next fall? LLoyd
Zurbrigg in Durham NC Z88Keys@mindspring.com.
