Re: CULT:iris maps

Since most of my garden (and flower beds) are odd shapes and sizes, the list approach won't work for me.

I've been using a graphics program for the past year with good results.

The outline and major "landmarks" are scanned in for each section of garden then names of all cvs are added. Each bed has its own page in the notebook and each of the major sections has an overview to show where each bed is located within the garden.

When changes need to be made, I scan the page of the area I'll be working in, then take the "working copy" to the garden along with self adhesive labels with the names of the plants I'm shuffling.

Updating the notebook is as simple as scanning the new map and printing a clean copy.
