OT:BIO Mike Greenfield

From: "Michael D. Greenfield" <redear@infinet.com>

I was on Iris-L last spring for a short while. I am new to this computer
stuff. I was having trouble keeping up with all the e-mail and learning at
the same time.

I have always liked to grow things. Iris are one of my favorites. After
finding AIS on the Internet in our library I had to have a computer. I
haven't been disappointed.

I have been lurking in the archives of iris talk all summer when I had
time. So forgive me if I act like I know all of you. It seems like I do. I
have really enjoyed it and learned a lot.

I met John Bruce On iris-talk. He lives about a block away. My sister sold
him his house. Small world. He has been a great help and I hope a new
friend.

I have been growing iris for years. They migrated across the fence from
next door. Didn't get any new ones till about 1990.
I started with crested iris a couple years before that and have quite a few
of them. I now have TB's IB's BB"S SDB's and a couple of unnamed SIB. I
started with about 40 this spring and now have about 90( No more John Bruce
, Well maybe one more) Quote from John " More Iris less grass to cut"

I have joined Miami Valley Iris Soc and have enjoyed that to Met a lot of
nice people there to.

I have a wife Sharon and no children other than my iris. I am a Pressman on
a 7 color Litho press. We print mostly Cereal boxes (over 4000 different
copies) mostly store brands.
I am the youngest of 14 children.

I am going to try a little hybridizing. I like taking pictures of them to.
I have a very small yard, so if you are a iris you better look good and
grow good or you are history.

I have a black thumb with roses and Russel lupins. Have pretty good luck
with everything else.

Will tell you westcoasters a boerer horror story later

I guess thats about it
