weed control

Can anyone please tell me the chemical name for Preen, as we don't have it under that trade Name in Australia. How does it work and is it safe on all types of irises (and daylilies). We use Surflan as a preemergant, but need something to  alternate with it. We have a particula problem with sorrel and wire weed.
