I've just returned from a very interesting weekend iris meeting and program
(given by Brad Kasparek of Zebra Gardens.... full report to follow). A
splendid time was enjoyed by everyone - and the drive through the leafy hills
was spectacular.
My question today is this: some of the growers were talking about using
Reemay as a mulch on bearded irises - and also to promote earlier bloom in
the spring.
As the German soldier on Laugh-In would say "veeeeeeery interesting".
I wonder if anyone has any comments about this technique. I've heard that
John White, siberian hybridizer in Maine, is one who uses Reemay.
Anybody have any input??
