The forwarded post about Reemay matches my experiences with it.
Except for a warning: if you have warm spells before your usual expected
end of winter, they will be even warmer under the Reemay & may initiate
growth too early. Once the early bloomers start pushing up stalks, the
covers have to come off or be propped up on supports of some sort or the
stalks will be deformed.
