Hi,
I lived in Daleville, AL (northwest of Dothan) for 4 years. TB's did
okay but not marvelous. That red clay holds some moisture but with all the
hot clammy weather the plants need it. It was cold enough in the winter to
cause some dormancy. Just hope the gnats don't carry them away! We have been
gone from that area for 26 years. I wonder if any of those iris are still
around? No telling as the trailer court was closed 10 years ago.
After observing the lovely iris in Dallas this spring why can't southern
Alabama do as well.
