Names I agree, are important, although you would have no idea whether I am 
using my own name or a pseudonym.
As far as location - If I put my Australian state, and zone, without putting 
what country I live in, many people would have no idea what it meant.

I can work out who many of the regular posters are from their e-mail 
addresses, but the vast majority do not include their country, so I have no 
idea where they live, unless I have a good memory, and a good grasp of world 
geography, and even so, many place names are duplicated.

Is it reasonable for listers to assume most other listers are from the US? 
(remember there are new list members joining all the time) I ask this 
because most of the other lists I am on, I would be very stupid to make this 
assumption.
