I don't think your suggested name would strike quite the right note with
the Brits.
May I suggest "Societe pour l' Iris Retro", which has the cachet of a
modish French name, helps you folks up North with your commitment to
bilingualism, and should garner some good old-fashioned Anglo respect with
its acronym!!
