After three weeks of 100+ degrees and no decent rain since early
July, we look like Baja California. Most lawns and freeway
medians and embankments have turned to straw, and the irises
look like they did in TX in 1980 when it was so hot and dry. I would
imagine they look the same there now after their heat and drought.
There are numerous grass and forest fires here, also, because of
the numerous dead trees and dead undergrowth.
Strangely though, I have some twisted stalks in TWO
DIFFERENT WORLDS! (Rosalie, you won't find this one because it
was just named).
