John, your pictures are really fantastic! Thanks so much for taking the
time to put it together and share with us. Now....if you ever come across
a classic case of rot or scorch, that is something I would like to see.
On my monitor, in someone else's garden of course! The mental image I
come up with is generally the same when I read about either malady. The
few pictures I've seen could also seem to fit either description. But
then the creative, artsy side of my brain seems to be missing anyway!
