For the convention here, we were sent a siberian iris seedling which bloomed
VERY
well this spring. The hybridizer asked that I destroy the plant because
they will not be introducing it. They sent it to try because it has
rebloomed for them. It did not do so here, but it wasn't here long enough
to do so(my opinion). When I went to dig it up, I found mature seed pods
ready to open so I saved them. After passing packets of seeds to those in
our iris society who wanted to try them, I have five left.
I will send these to the first five people who E-mail me privately with their
address.
The pod parent looks a lot like Strawberry Fair to me.
