Two absolutely perfect blooms have been open on TEA LEAVES for the past
several days. The record cool temperatures really brought out the
colors in the blooms on this and also SUMMER GREEN SHADOWS and SEPTEMBER
CHEREAUX (hope I spelled that right). This is the first bloom I've had
on any of these, all new plants for me last year. ROSALIE FIGGE is
working on a bloom stalk on a plant that grew somewhere else last year &
is not showing signs of increase yet, but I assume she will get busy
with that later.
There are also two extraordinarily vigorous 'clumps' of FEEDBACK (new
last year), but only one stalk and it is badly stunted. I fear my
summers may be too rough for it.
I am realllly enjoying TEA LEAVES but am kicking myself for being too
generous with HARVEST OF MEMORIES at our spring sale - only one stalk
starting to form so far. My plastic lawn chair is parked by TL where I
can sit and stare at it to my heart's content. Nice flower! Good
plant!
