I am another one who ordered from that nursery and received rotting
rhyzomes. I had asked for September delivery as it's much too hot
here in the Phoenix, AZ area (zone 9) to plant earlier. The plants
arrived late in August and most of them were rotting. I think they
must have been dug in June and not properly dried. I cut away as
much rot as I could, disinfected them with the clorox solution (a cup
to a gallon of water) and potted them. Shoots on most of them are
growing, but they probably won't bloom next year, so of course, I'm
disapointed. I have gotten good orders from them in other years.
Whatever happened this year is unfortunate.
