No, Rosalie, I only have one E mail address, and I have no idea what SMTP means. It must be something the computer put there all on its own. It always does strange things on its own when I use it. Concrete is a good simile for my soil. Like the real stuff, the more compost I mix into it, the harder it gets. It's a wonder iris will grow in it, but they do. I am now growing a large number in a mixture of silt and compost. They will take more water I know. You know it never rains in southern Arizona, and this year is trying to prove it. Adobe houses are usually covered with stucco to keep them from dissolving in the rains we do sometimes get.

Franchette, do you have two email addresses? What does SMTP mean?
I can see that adobe would be a problem to plants -- I would think it would
be like concrete - I've seen adobe houses, so what does water do to them?
