Re: Re: CAT: TB Wild Frontier

Patricia,

If Van B. is not offering the real WILD FRONTIER, then Schreiner's does not
have to supply them. Something is pretty fishy with this...a company such
as Van B. is not going to buy a new iris and sell it for 1/10 of it's
retail price. Also, they are not in the business of selling new cultivars.

That's my opinion, based on more than one unfortunate experience with Van
B. [Yes, I admit, I was a slow learner when it came to Van
Bourgondien...maybe it was the appeal of their slick catalog. But, the
plants shipped bore little or no resemblance to the items pictured in their
catalogs. Upon complaining, they apologized and promised
replacements...which arrived promptly...and which were also mislabeled!]

It was my order, Tom. And I'm not regretting the order, and in fact
would never order irises from that sort of source; I'm only wondering
how Scheiner's can supply these other houses in adequate quantities
on a cv they so recently introduced that they're chargin $30.
