Hello Iris Talkers:
The latest issue of the British Iris Society newsletter reports: "A number
of garden centres, nurseries and mail order firms are offering Iris
tectorum variegata that, after purchase, turns out to be Iris japonica
variegata." The editor notes that "they have been telephoned to point out
the error of their ways."
Good luck to the British in getting this situation corrected. I still see
this same mistake made in the U.S.--even though efforts have been made to
correct it.
