Re: SPEC: Mint Fresh


Al, the registration in the 1989 Checklist may appear confusing at 
first.  I. versicolor is a subspecies of the larger group Laevigata.

If you have a copy of The Genus Iris by Dykes,  check out page 72 
which states the four members of the group.  I. versicolor is there.

When offering it for sale, trade, or as a gift, I would simply call it a 
versicolor.  I think Joe Pye Weed catalog lists it as a versicolor.
