These few days of blessed rain have helped the iris and everything here. The
weeds especially! I have been fighting them in between the down pours! Have
to stay behind them, you know. Lots of color here in the gardens tho,
Russian sage, other red and blue sages, Autumn Joy, Mexican Hat, Plumbago,
Red Gerber Daisies in among the Lambs Ears, Roses, Daylilies, and Lots of
water lilies and lotus. The plant that I added to my shade bed this year has
really been a show off. There were two actually, both companulas. One a
dark, bright, iris purple and the other a deep rose with speckled throat.
They have bloomed lots and long for me. Hoping they fair well over the
winter.
Also the new additions to the Koi population are now beginning to come up to
feed with the larger Koi. Fall is near...because the buds are huge on the
crysanthumums and the berries are brilliant purple on the beauty bushes!
Sigh, I love gardening....
