well, linda, great minds think alike.  I spotted those pill boxes the 
other week and had a similar thought, no pollen though.  Personally i 
think the little piece of paper on the bottom of the compartment 
would annoy me and the same with a big ol sticker.  However, if one 
were clever and had a database in which all of your cultivars were 
labeled by a particular number and just write that number on the 
outside of the compartment with a sharpie. 

btw if you compost a cultivar you can erase permanent marker by going 
over it with a dry erase marker and wiping clean.
