Re: TB:REB: Recordkeeping

Dear MaryLou, I have kept records as to when an iris first blooms -- ever
since I have had irises, I guess. Sometimes I have a record of the last
bloom in my garden. This goes back many years by now. I guess it would be
interesting to some to have this organized. I have noticed that an iris will
bloom within a few days of the first bloom each year --- no matter what the
winter has been like, Maybe this winter I'll try to see if there is any
significane in the records, when there is more time after the garden has been
put to sleep. This year the rebloom has been very poor because the weather
hasbeen very hot and very dry and the watering restrictions have been very
severe! I am not a bit happy about it, I just hope it isn't going to ruin
my garden for next year! Rosalie nr Baltimore, USA zone 7 ryfigge@aol.com
