Tanya; Quack grass primarily grows by tillering vegatatively. Try
Southern States for Envoy, Fusilade, or Poast grass killers.
These will not impact iris. You will have to spray rather frequently.
I have use "Poast" and have found it works better with a
spreader/sticker. Dave Siverberg recommends "Envoy" as the best.
Also next spring get a bag of "Statesman" crab grass preemergence
with "Team" herbicide. Use this to control new grass sprouting from
seed.
