Hi Bill,
The plant growth hormone I'm referring to is a cytokinin which induces plant
cell division as opposed to an auxin which induces root cell division.
Rootone and other rooting media are auxin-based hormones. Here's a good

I think this has some merit judging from the incresed success I've had using
it when rooting cuttings. I would suggest avoiding pricking the rhizome
depending instead on a liberal dusting of a longitudally split rhizome.
Interesting, very interesting. Sadly, to my knowlege I have never suffered
bloom out.
