HYB: best PBF

I'm planning on hybridizing bearded irises for PBF to maximize 
darkness, area pigmented and permanence (through all seasons). 
Eventually, I'd like to see all purple foliage. I'd like to work 
primarily at the diploid level. I've already got 'Reminiscence', 
and 'Loreley' (I think)...both of which have a good degree of PBF. If 
anyone, who has experience with a large number of cultivars, can 
recommend some other really good ones, I'd appreciate it. I've also 
got a few tetraploids like 'Special Feature' and 'St. Louis Blues' 
that have good PBF and just purchased 'Infernal Fire' (I think that's 
the name) which is said to produce purple pigmented pods. So, if you 
have tets to recommend that would be nice too. But, I'd especially 
like to know of some nice diploids (even if they're oldies or 24 -
chromosome species). Thanks for any leads. Tom
