AIS: guessing the Wisters..

As I stare at the Schreiners catalog, trying to figure out what will be
the next CELEBRATION SONG for me as far as being a prolific producer of
viable pollen every year and parent of halfway decent children, I
noticed a few things about awards. Take my math & my ability to report
this accurately with a grain of salt...

Most of the Schreiners' Dykes medal winners that I looked at have won an
HM 2 years after registration, and an AM 2 years after that. Most won a
Wister medal or runner up 2 yrs after that, but one took another 3 yrs
to win (CELEBRATION S). Most won the Dykes the following year, but
CSONG didn't get it for an additional 3 years (10 years after
registration) and YAQUINA BLUE for an additional 4 (also 10 years after
reg).

I got C SONG because of a recommendation Clarence Mahan posted on this
forum's predecessor & since we started in spring of 1996, that's
probably the year I bought it. So I've grown it for about 7 years,
starting 3 years after it was registered.

Now I want to guess which Schreiners intros registered within the last
few years are likely to be considered for future Wister & Dykes
awards...

A few possibilities that I came up with
MERLOT (1999) HM 2001, AM 2003 - if it holds true to the above, might
win Wister in 2004 - 2005.
WORLD PREMIER (1998) HM 2000, AM 2002 - didn't win Wister this year, but
maybe next?
GOOD VIBRATIONS (1997) HM1999, AM 2001, but didn't win Wister last year
or this, so probably not
SKYWALKER (1996) HM 1998, AM 2000, ditto
LUXOR GOLD (1998) HM 2001, AM 2003 - might make it - too soon to tell

I only looked at Schreiner intros because I have so many more of them
that do fairly well here compared to those from other hybridizers ,
except maybe for Lloyd Zurbrigg's. So far....

Anybody want to name some others that might be winning future Wisters?
