how does an iris lose it's eligibility?

I looked up all the cv Linda listed in my Schreiners cat and I would say
that only SEA POWER, SKYWALKER or LUXOR GOLD, have any potential to win
further awards.  I like GOOD VIBRATIONS but from the pic it doesn't look big
enough (bloom size) to really pull off that coloring. If you look at pics of
Dykes winners there is a certain consistency to the form. Something about
balance between S/F more than the color or novelty (horns, ruffles, beard
color, etc).  I don't like the colors in CS, but I can still see that the
form of the bloom is highly desireable.

Linda is in the possibly enviable position of having selected a multiple
award winner for her garden before it won very many awards.  If this were a
race horse you'ld be grooming CS for the Kentucky Derby.

So the question is are you trying to predict future award winners or are you
trying to select a strong grower for your garden.  Based on the discussion
last week about SILVERADO, the two are not necisarily the same thing.....
