New iris
I have been lurking and enjoying all the information. But, I bought some iris
this week and want to get them planted. The croms are very dried looking. Do
I soak them in water before I plant them in the ground. This seems like the
sensible thing to do since the ground is still nice and the weather is supposed
to be nice for a few more weeks. I want them to start roots and take before
the chill of winter gets here and I think they have time to. How do I go about
planting them to guarantee success. These are the first ones I have planted
from scratch. All the others I have were with this old place when we bought it 40
years ago.
